Why Should You Participate In This Event? Steps 4 Families is more than just a regular 5K run or 1 mile fun run. We are bringing awareness to child abuse prevention and the need to provide free exercise programs for people struggling with mental health or addiction issues. Your registration fees & participation will help to provide funding for these 2 important community needs. Our event is family friendly & will include a 1 mile Fun/Run in addition to the 5K Run/Walk. Our course is entirely within the boundaries of Buckeye Woods Park and will be held on Friday evening, April 24, 2020 starting at 6:30pm.
Steps 4 Families 5K Run/Walk is a partnership between Running2bWell and the Medina County Department of Job and Family Services.
Event Details: The Steps 4 Families run & walk will have a winding course within the boundaries of beautiful Buckeye Woods park. We have both a 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun/run option. The event will be timed with chip timing but we will celebrate all paces. Unlike other races, we encourage the early finishers to go back out on the course to pace, encourage and support the remaining participants. There will be inspirational testimonials, plenty of food, prizes, and age group awards. We are also encouraging teams and special awards will be given to the biggest, loudest, best dressed teams. All participants will receive a high quality custom shirt.
Date, Time & Location: Friday evening April 24, 2020 at Buckeye Woods Park which is located at 6335 Wedgewood Road, Medina, OH 44256. The 5K & 1 Mile will start promptly at 6:30pm. Day of race check in / packet pick up will start at 5pm at the park. Plan to arrive with enough time to park, get your packet & locate the restrooms! It’s going to be a great evening of family fun!
